WELDING THEORY (WT) | 65 HOURS |
|---|---|
Students are provided with a theoretical understanding of common welding processes and an overview of health & safety principles in welding. Welding processes include shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), gas metal arc welding (GMAW), flux-cored arc welding (FCAW), gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW), and Oxy-Fuel welding and cutting. Other topics presented include welding machines and their electrical functions, welding equipment setup and operation, filler metal, types of electrodes and filler wires. Subject Competencies and Objectives:
